SASKIA DIEZ teamed up again with the eyewear label VIU to give the styles from their joint 2016 sunglasses collection a new finish. In addition a new model was developed: THE OH. Also a new version of the glasses chain is available since June: two new, somewhat slimmed-down versions.
In contrast to the first campaign, also shot by Gelwich, the new campaign employs more colour, clarity and light, coupled with a rough, austere and edgy environment. Face of the campaign is Cajsa Wessberg. With her strong yet free-spirited personality – outside of current stereotypes – Cajsa is a role model of our time. The campaign by Vitali Gelwich was shot in the style of an editorial at an abandoned office complex in Moabit, Berlin.
The chains have been an important part of the collection from the beginning and were interpreted in a more minimalistic and delicate way for 2017. The slender links of the chain, shaped like elongated airy tank chains, are available in Gunmetal and Rose Gold. Also, the chains of the new collection are adjustable and therefore adaptable to different temple sizes.
The VIU × Saskia Diez Collection is available since May 11th in all flagship stores, at Saskia Diez and online at saskia-diez.com or at VIU. The limited editions THE OH in Light Orange and THE ME in Light Gold are available since June 8th.
