Nahuel Clothes is one of Cécile’s biggest life projects. After taking the time to imagine a project that resembles her, she launched a responsible ready-to-wear brand offering pieces produced in France in limited quantities. These clothes, made from dormant stocks of fabrics from luxury houses, combine style and ethics.
The genesis of the brand
After a fashion school in Paris, the designer Cécile decided to travel before starting her professional life. In 2019, she left for a trip that was initially supposed to last 6 months in Latin America. However, Covid obliged her to take a different turn on her trip. She ended up staying in Argentina for a year, including six months in quarantine in San Carlos de Bariloche, near the Andes Mountains. It was during this quarantine that her project took shape, facing the Nahuel Huapi lake which inspired the name of her brand. Back in France, she created Nahuel Clothes, a brand of minimalist and unisex clothing.
Beyond a clothing brand, Nahuel is also a way of conceiving fashion. Minimalism, ethics, transparency, ecological awareness, local production and sustainability are the key words of the brand that the designer embodies and defends through each of her pieces.
Favouring French manufacturing
Each of the creations is made in France to be as close as possible to the production process and to minimise the environmental impact. The models are therefore designed and patterned by Cécile, then sent to be produced in workshops near Lyon.
Moreover, in order to avoid overstocking and waste, all the clothes are produced in limited edition and on pre-order: they are therefore pieces that you will not see on everyone! Nahuel Clothes does not work with a collection system, but prefers to regularly release new pieces according to the available fabrics and the inspiration of the moment.
Always with the aim of offering responsible clothing, the pieces are created and sewn from fine rolls that are not used by the big luxury houses. Each of the fabrics chosen are quality fabrics such as mohair, wool or cotton.
