A new week means a new selection of music to end the year on a high.
Our selection includes singles from Renée Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion as well as Jungeli, the young Afropop phenomenon, and Lacrim’s new EP ‘en attendant corelone’.
Renée Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion in the “Mean Girls” soundtrack
The cult film from the 2000s requests a new version from Tina Fey on 10 January 2024. Renée Rapp will play one of the main roles, the pest Regina George, who we love as much as we hate, and has penned the first single from the soundtrack, “Not My Fault”, featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
Jungeli invites Dystinct on his new track “Rashel
After a smashing debut with his Afropop single “Petit génie” last July, accompanied by Alonzo, Imen Es, Abou Debeing and Lossa, young artist Jungeli is causing a sensation in France. A true viral success, it is the fastest diamond single of 2023 with over 50 million views. He is continuing his ascent by inviting the Belgian-Moroccan singer Dystinct to guest on his new track “Rashel”.
Lacrim’s new EP “en attendant corelone
After a resounding comeback with his ‘sale epoque’ EP, including the track ‘code barre’, Lacrim follows up with a new short format, ‘en attendant corleone’. The name of the EP hints at things to come, and features a cast of international rap stars including baby gang & murda. Once again, the French rap icon delivers a solid project for the end of the year, and one that bodes well for the year 2024, which will be marked by el tigre. While you’re waiting to hear his new EP, check out his latest video, “Fugazi”, below.
We hope you find what you’re looking for in this week’s selection. See you next time for a new session ! In the meantime, we wish you a wonderful musical (re)discovery.
