Orelsan unveils « XXX », a new single accompanied by a music video directed by Raphaël De Albuquerque and Gabriel Cantal. Blending retro aesthetics, roller skating culture and outspoken views, the French rapper delivers a track that contrasts a playful atmosphere with a direct message.
Following « La Fuite en avant », Orelsan continues his musical journey with « XXX », released on 30 October 2026. The track is accompanied by a music video with a distinctive visual identity.
A music video shaped by nostalgia and collective energy
Directed by Raphaël De Albuquerque and Gabriel Cantal, the music video draws on the visual language of skateboarding and roller skating videos from the 2000s. The movement, roller skates and energy of the performers create an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and dynamic. This nostalgic aesthetic complements the track’s references to urban culture and a generation that does not necessarily conform to mainstream expectations.
The costumes also play an important role in shaping the visual composition. They reinforce the contrast between the characters and their surroundings, while visual effects add another graphic dimension to the production. Rather than illustrating every lyric literally, the video creates its own distinctive universe, allowing the imagery to interact with the tone of the track. The visual effects are deliberately visible and unapologetic, enhancing the playful nature of the production without losing its connection to street culture.
In terms of its lyrics, Orelsan takes a clear stance. He targets the far right and its nationalist rhetoric, references CNews and sets these ideas against a more diverse and inclusive vision of France. His direct and provocative punchlines are likely to generate contrasting reactions. Comments posted beneath the video already reflect the debate surrounding his position.
A 2026 tour that continues across Europe
The release comes as Orelsan continues his 2026 tour. The rapper is scheduled to perform in Brussels on 12 November, followed by two shows in Lyon Décines on 16 and 17 November, before heading to Geneva on 19 November. Nantes will host two concerts on 23 and 24 November, followed by two performances at Le Dôme in Marseille on 2 and 3 December.
The year will conclude with a residency at Paris’s Accor Arena, where fifteen concerts are scheduled between 9 and 28 December. Several dates have already sold out.
« XXX », between provocation and collective spirit
With « XXX », Orelsan combines nostalgic visual references with outspoken lyrics. The music video relies on movement, urban culture and a deliberate sense of contrast. This latest release remains true to his artistic identity while bringing renewed attention to his views and public statements.
