Riding in style while taking care of the planet is now possible thanks to Trashboard. This French brand is revolutionising the world of skateboarding with eco-friendly boards made from recycled cardboard and upcycled carbon.
In a world where performance and environmental impact are often in conflict, Trashboard stands out by offering skateboards that combine innovation, durability and design. Founded by François Jaubert, a naval engineer turned creator of eco-responsible solutions, this committed French company transforms industrial materials into functional works of art, ready to conquer the urban scene and seduce environmentally conscious board enthusiasts.
Responsible materials for performance
At Trashboard, each skateboard is the result of a meticulous process combining engineering and respect for the planet. The boards are made from 75% recycled cardboard, a surprisingly robust material, combined with residual carbon from Airbus industrial waste. This unique blend gives the skateboards lightness, waterproofing and unfailing strength, without compromising the gliding sensation.
The choice of cardboard and recycled carbon is not insignificant. François Jaubert, a keen surfer and board sports enthusiast, realised the environmental impact of traditional materials such as wood and chemical resins. So he developed an eco-responsible alternative that meets the needs of skateboarders while reducing deforestation and industrial waste.
Unique designs and local commitment
Based in the Basque Country, the brand is committed to French know-how. Trashboard boards are not just high-performance, they’re also aesthetically pleasing. The range includes models like the Sunrise Street 8.5 (€99), perfect for trick riders, and the Marble longboard (€259), ideal for high-speed descents.
A special series, the Néo-Classique, was recently unveiled at the at the big made in france exhibition at the Élysée Palace. Inspired by the rococo style, this board combines elegance and cutting-edge technology – a real masterpiece for design and board enthusiasts.
Minimal environmental impact
Trashboard doesn’t just offer eco-responsible products: the brand is committed to reducing its carbon footprint as much as possible. Its manufacturing process avoids the use of water, and the local recycling of materials favours short circuits.
By combining innovation and responsibility, Trashboard offers a sustainable solution in a sector where eco-responsibility is still marginal.
A visionary brand looking to the future
Trashboard’s ambitions extend beyond the world of skateboarding. The patented technology developed by François Jaubert could also be applied to other industries, such as urban design and furniture manufacture.
In the meantime, the brand continues to win over urban sports fans with products that perfectly embody the balance between style, performance and durability.
