KODD : How would you define modest fashion and what is the message behind this commitment ?

K : What are the reasons that led you to create your clothing brand ?
H : %99 of the population in Turkey is Muslim. Moreover, high percentage of our women are modest. The starting point and the main reason to establish a clothing brand HUKKA was to satisfy the trendy chic fashion needs of our women in our country.
K : Can modest fashion become the future of fashion ?
H : Modesty trends are increasing worldwide day by day. Therefore, my answer is a big “yes” 🙂

#3 THREAD PALETTE LONDON
KODD : How would you define modest fashion and what is the message behind this commitment ?
THREAD PALETTE LONDON : Modest Fashion is having the freedom to wear clothing that satisfies your spiritual and stylistic requirements as a woman. Standards of modesty are culturally and context-dependent, though if you look at it in a religious context, there are certain guidelines that must be followed.
Modest Fashion in recent years has become a movement of sorts, empowering women to express themselves in the way they want/feel, within the confines of their values and beliefs, and that is the very message behind this commitment.
K : What are the reasons that led you to create your clothing brand ?
TPL : We created our clothing brand to fill the void we could see in the fashion industry. Our main focus is to bring easily accessible clothing into the market, that helps you fit in the world with confidence, yet maintain your values.
K : Can modest fashion become the future of fashion ?
TPL : Fashion needs to be versatile and flexible to cater to everyone. In recent years, with the rise of social media and influencers etc., people have become more aware of the various styles of fashion in the world. Seeing a fully covered fashion model is not a shock for people anymore, in fact, it’s becoming increasingly popular in fashion. Modest Fashion is and will become a part of mainstream fashion. Brands need to be aware of their consumers and need to provide products that are versatile and diverse to align with a greater consumer base’s value system, and many brands have in fact already started to incorporate modest lines into their collections.
#4 DEMURE DUCHESS
KODD : Do you think that this way of dressing reveals a certain identity ?
DEMURE DUCHESS : Absolutely, the way we dress sends a message about who we are and how we want to be seen.
For example, for centuries communities have used clothing as a means to communicate status, celebrate events and show unity amongst many things.Fashion and identity are inseparable. Dressing modestly sends a message about our personality and style without saying it in words. Many women regardless of faith and race prefer to dress modestly because they feel more confident, comfortable and don’t like to reveal themselves.
K : What do you expect from Dubai Modest Fashion Week 2021 ?
DD : I took a risk with a new brand to participate in Dubai Modest Fashion Weeks 2021 with the hope to reach an audience globally on a wider scale. I expect through Dubai Modest Fashion Week 2021, Demure Duchess reaches those who appreciate and want luxury womenswear with a touch of modesty.
K : What is your favorite colour to use in your designs ?
DD : As a designer I love to work with all colours as I believe each colour tells a different story and everyone reads it according to their own mindset.
Each individual colour creates a different ambience according to their characteristics just like people so it’s important to include all colours to speak to different audiences.
#5 MUNAMER
KODD : Do you think that this way of dressing reveals a certain identity ?
MUNAMER : Of course! I think it somehow conveys self-confidence. Modest fashion is no longer just driven by a religious factor but has already become an expression of personal style. Every woman chooses to express herself through her looks and Munamer gives the opportunity to those who love the sea, travel and sport to be able to do it at their best even on these occasions, without sacrificing their own style.
K : What do you expect from Dubai Modest Fashion Week 2021 ?
M : I hope buyers and clients from the Middle East will have the opportunity to discover the Munamer brand and know more about my mission. I strongly believe in it and I hope to find the right partner to exploit this market at the best.
K : What is your favorite colour to use in your designs ?
M : I love all colors so it is very difficult for me to decide….For Munamer I often use pink, blue and green shades…but I also appreciate the Black and white contrast.

K : Can modest fashion become the future of fashion ?
NR : Modest dressing refers to a fashion trend in women of wearing less skin-revealing clothes, especially in a way that satisfies their spiritual and stylistic requirements for reasons of faith, religion or personal preference. The modest fashion industry is currently valued at as much as $277 billion and estimated to grow to $311 billion by 2024. #7 ASMIIMAH
KODD : How would you define modest fashion and what is the message behind this commitment ?
ASMIIMAH : I believe that Modest fashion is being able to be confident and comfortable while still being modest. It’s the ability to cover up and still be fashionable in your own way.
K : What are the reasons that led you to create your clothing brand ?
A : My passion for modest fashion drove me to create my brand. I’ve always loved fashion since I was in elementary school. I would dress up my dolls and create cool outfits for them. As I get up I got more drawn to fashion but as a Muslim if I want to go into the fashion industry it has to be modest fashion. So I decided to do so and bring my creative modest designs to life. That’s how my brand Asmiimah came to be.
K : Can modest fashion become the future of fashion ?
A : Modest fashion is already becoming the future of fashion. So many high end brands creating modest fashion is a starting point to a greater achievement for the modest fashion industry.
