The micellar water revolution in the cosmetics industry
Micellar water has revolutionised the cosmetics industry by providing more effective alternatives to traditional cleansers. In addition, its composition is suitable for all skin types. Here are the main uses of micellar water.
Micellar water used as a make-up remover
If you wear a lot of makeup or sunscreen, we recommend using the micellar water as a makeup remover and then following up with your favourite gentle cleanser. To use as a makeup remover, soak cotton wool in your favourite micellar formula and gently sweep over the makeup areas. For eye makeup, it is recommended that you press the cotton pad into the eye area for a few seconds to help loosen the makeup.
It is important to note that there are several types of micellar water on the market. Feel free to read the instructions to learn more about the micellar water you have.
Micellar water is also very effective for cleaning your make-up brushes. Micellar water is mainly used to get rid of dirt and grease. Simply replace a brush cleaner with micellar water and you’re done.
Micellar water, a very effective cleanser
Micellar water is mainly used to clean the face. It removes layers of make-up, impurities and sebum that accumulate on the skin. This is possible thanks to the micelles contained in this water. These are very effective compounds for removing anything oily.
Micelles can make your skin more permeable. This allows the cleansers to reach deeper into your skin. Micellar water is effective in the fight against acne and clogged pores.
Acne is caused by clogged pores. They then become inflamed and turn into pimples. Although studies on the benefits of micellar water are still in their infancy, several studies have already shown that using a gentle cleanser can help fight acne and reduce blackheads.
Micellar water can also be applied with a cotton pad.
To use micellar water, simply pour it onto cotton wool and rub it into your face like a toner. Then simply continue your skin care routine as usual – no need to rinse afterwards. Micellar water can replace your cleansing routine. We recommend using it in the morning followed by a moisturiser and again in the evening, followed by a night cream.
Moisturising the skin with micellar water
Micellar water helps the skin to retain moisture more easily. This is due to the presence of glycerine in this type of product. It also helps to strengthen the skin’s protective layer.
Wash your hands
Replace your hand sanitizer with this non-drying alternative.
Often alcohol-based, hand sanitizers can be drying or irritating to the skin. Simply pour a little into your palms and rub. No rinsing is necessary.
