Why did you decide to launch a supplement brand dedicated to pregnancy? What sparked the idea?
Sabrina: The turning point was my personal experience during pregnancy. When I became pregnant, I went to the pharmacy to buy the prenatal vitamins recommended by my doctor. After reading the ingredients and comparing options on the shelves, I simply refused to take them. They were full of low-quality ingredients, harmful additives, and nanoparticles. I couldn’t find a better option, so I decided to create one. My co-founders and I committed ourselves to developing Boome, a brand promising natural and impeccable compositions.
What’s your favorite product in your range?
Sabrina: Although I’m no longer in the maternity phase, I still use Postpartum occasionally when I need an emotional boost. It’s a great mood enhancer for women feeling exhausted, stressed, or overwhelmed. Mental health—both for mothers and women in general—is one of our top priorities. My long-term essentials are our Collagen, Detox (which I do twice a year), and our Vegan Omega-3, which are vital for health and skin beauty.
Did you face challenges while developing your supplements?
Sabrina: A mountain of challenges! We didn’t come from pharmaceutical or nutraceutical backgrounds. We had to educate ourselves and build everything from scratch—finding a team of healthcare professionals to develop cleaner products for women, identifying the right partners to manufacture our products, and working closely with our scientific committee to create unique formulations. We refused to use pre-made formulas, so we spent two years developing Boome’s initial offerings.
If you could recommend just one product to an active, pregnant young woman looking to feel better daily, what would it be?
Sabrina: It depends on the root cause of her discomfort, but our essential recommendation is Pregnancy, our best-selling multivitamin. It’s hybrid and comprehensive, helping to prevent nutritional deficiencies that can cause complications during and after pregnancy. The best part? It supports you up to a year postpartum!
