This new collection, named ED.01, is a limited edition of timeless, everyday pieces. The collection has been created through different research processes.
On the one hand, some of the pieces are the result of an analytical work to create a comfortable and durable garment. On the other hand, the pieces have been the object of a research process on the elaboration of prints as well as on the best way to build looks from previous seasons’ archives.
These two processes combined have allowed We Are Spastor to establish a collection that dialogues between past, present and future. A real connection was created between the previous collections and the new one: For example, how could the idea of flowing capes/scarves and wrapped bodies that the designers worked on in the 2005 and 2006 We Are Spastor collections be translated into our current society?
WAS designers also worked on the interpretation of the silhouettes of the suiting pieces that were made for the s/s 2007 and a/w 2007 2008 collections. The way to recreate the silhouettes while developing the patterns to give them more volume is behind all the finishing work to improve the quality of the products.
Through this collection, iconic and signature elements of WAS are present such as the “Holes cuts”, bangs,… which are found on the ED.01 wardrobe but also on a range of accessories specific to this capsule collection.
All the pieces are made from end-of-stock or organic lyocell and cottons from eco-responsible channels. The designers also work with their long-time haberdashery supplier: a glass factory dating back to 1929 located in the German region of Bavaria, which produces all their buttons.
All garments are made in the vicinity of Barcelona, supporting local production and maintaining a policy of social responsibility.
