Serdar Gülgün’s whimsical imagination and insatiable passion for Ottoman art flourished in Istanbul from a young age. The exotic mix of textures, colors, flavors, eras and architectures, the melting pot of cultures that continues to be created on the shores of the Bosphorus, remain his playground, his infinite source of inspiration.
Serdar Gülgün has been researching, restoring and collecting a personal treasure trove of Ottoman art and antiquities for as long as he can remember. His priceless court pieces have been presented in numerous exhibitions, including the Imperial Palace of Topkapi in Istanbul. His collection inspires his own designs.
