Shake Shake Go is an English band, based in London, consisting of Poppy (writing and vocals), Marc (composition and guitar), Virgil (guitar), Kilian (drums) and Toby (piano and bass). Marc and Poppy met at university. Marc was looking for THE voice that could best embody the music that had always stubbornly stuck with him. Poppy’s voice, incredible for her young age, and breathtaking in this pop register, convinced him immediately. From the first moments of writing to the desire to play these songs on stage, the duo was reinforced by 3 musicians and Shake Shake Go was born. Their name was found by a 6 year old child, as the band performed in the streets of London and asked these impromptu spectators to leave ideas on a temporary website…
Shake Shake Go, three words that resonate like their music: between liberating power, desire to escape and lively emotions. In the UK, Shake Shake Go has opened for Dan Croll and King Charles, before being played on BBC2 and performing at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London. In France, they have played at Musilac, Les Déferlantes and Beauregard. In Germany, they are about to share the stage with Talisco. Scheduled for release on March 09, 2015, the band’s first EP highlights their entire universe. We were able to listen to it as a preview as soon as the cover arrived in our editorial office… You won’t be disappointed!
