For this Spring 2021, KARL LAGERFELD collaborate with the model, actress and activist Amber Valletta as co-creator of a sustainable accessories collection.
ECO-FRIENDLY ACCESSORIES
The line of essential accessories — including a special-edition K/Kushion bag — is crafted using innovative, socially sustainable materials sourced with minimal ecological impact. Supermodel Amber Valletta was a muse of Karl Lagerfeld and is a longtime sustainability campaigner and member of the Team KARL family. With this idea in mind, Amber is unveiling a collection that reflects her.
DESSERTO CACTUS LEATHER
The innovative plant-based material is produced from native cactus that matches local biodiversity and requires no herbicides, pesticides, or even irrigation. Colored using organic pigments, the vegan cactus leather bag is available with a pleated finish or a sleek, seamless exterior.
RECYCLED COTTON
Finished with a signature stitching effect, the quilted K/Kushion, wash bag and face mask are made with 90% GRS-certified recycled cotton colored with organic pigments in a neutral sandy hue. The environmentally conscious collection co-created with sustainability collaborator Amber Valletta is part of KARL LAGERFELD’s ongoing commitment to achieving key environmental goals shared in the G7 Fashion Pact.
THE OCEAN CLEANUP
