Located on the Atlantic coast, over the years the establishment has established itself as a must-visit destination, combining contemporary elegance, Senegalese art de vivre and high-end hospitality. More than just a hotel, it is a true cultural and social landmark, frequented by international travellers and Dakar residents alike in search of an exceptional place to stay. We were invited by the independent fashion house Hoy Paris to attend a preview, which gave us the opportunity to present a sneak peek of the Terrou-Bi vision for 2026.
A legendary hotel with unique charm
The Terrou-Bi captivates guests with its unique location, right on the waterfront, with a private beach in the capital. Its rooms and suites open onto the horizon and offer high-end comfort and breathtaking views of the ocean. The iconic swimming pool, renowned restaurants, terrace and casino all contribute to making the establishment a truly vibrant place to be. The event spaces are also popular for conferences, weddings and corporate events, further reinforcing its status as a must-visit destination. Beyond luxury, the hotel boasts an identity deeply rooted in local culture. Senegalese craftsmanship, contemporary artists, local cuisine and traditional teranga (hospitality) play a central role. The hotel has thus become a showcase for modern Senegal, where authenticity and sophistication coexist in harmony.
A vision for the future
The Terrou-Bi is preparing for a new phase of development. The establishment plans to expand its hotel offering with new premium suites and modernised facilities to meet the growing demand for business and high-end tourism. Innovation is an integral part of this strategy, with digitalised services, enhanced wellness offerings and immersive cultural experiences. Finally, the hotel aims to strengthen its international reputation through collaborations and an increased presence on the global tourism scene.
