The memory of a day in a vegetable shade is from Cueillette
The Cuilette brand has its own way of using vegetable dyes. The process consists of immersing the fabric in a bath of dye plants for an entire day in sunlight. Inside the pots, the color is impregnated thanks to the heat. In good weather, the color will be intense, in gray weather, it will become softer.
A way to transform the fabric “the old fashioned way”. Spend time and let nature make each piece unique. No two scarves are alike and the memory of the day it was created can be associated with a special occasion that will make it truly special. At Cuillette, every process is environmentally friendly and in harmony with the world.
Raw materials are sourced locally and often from reclaimed materials. The silks come from Lyon and the squares and medallions are entirely handmade in France.
Cueillette also offers introductory courses in vegetable dyes in its Parisian workshop in the Ménilmontant district.
