Originally from Nagasaki, Japan, but now residing in Tokyo, Risa Kumon was first drawn to R&B after watching ‘Sister Act 2’ as a child. Risa found early inspiration in Lauryn Hill, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, as well as the Jazz music that her father would play.

Risa’s previous projects include a Jazz EP, a project of Christmas covers and collaboration on multiple tracks and an album with Roro (official music video for ‘Doesn’t Mean I’m Lost’ – Roro ft. Risa Kumon ).

Risa has over 15,000 Instagram followers and is a notable media name as a multilingual radio personality, interviewing celebrities and other entertainers whilst they visit Japan.
