Partying is part of every culture and every generation. A real mental stimulant and social actor, we ask ourselves if it is important to party ?
Mental stimulation
The coronavirus crisis has made us realise just how much social contact and opportunities for collective effervescence do for our morale. The very idea of taking our minds off our troubles by going to a party lifts our spirits. But why ?
Partying is a way to get away from our daily lives, it’s the prospect of something new and it’s exciting. These festive activities satisfy our need for exploration and novelty. It stimulates your brain.
It stimulates our senses. The party setting allows us to let go and it’s a welcome break. All our senses are stimulated by the fact that it’s a new place, the setting, the smells and the people are different. Our brain receives a lot of information and is therefore in a state of flux.
Meeting people and socialising
Socialising is an essential need for all generations. The pleasure of the party is based on the social interactions that we will have. You look for peers, you build a network. Since it only lasts one evening, the interactions are straightforward.
Whatever the party is, it’s a group affair. You get together, you get out of your routine, you have an experience. These moments allow us to step out of our roles. When you meet someone new, you can be whoever you want to be, you can excel. It’s not written on your forehead that you are shy or introverted, it’s up to you to play the role of the person you want to be ! Show yourself in a new light, reach out to people, get out of your comfort zone.
Of course, partying is neither an obligation nor a forced passage. Some people don’t like social interaction and this kind of event can make them anxious. Don’t force yourself ! To have a good time, you need to be comfortable with your surroundings.
People celebrate because they are happy. So naturally, you want to communicate this joy. You can celebrate for a reason or for no reason at all, just for the pleasure of being alright !
Are you for or against celebrating ? If yes, share your experience with us on WhatsApp. If not, tell us why. We will share it on our social networks.
