For her first collection, Meriem Barros, designer of Uma Naga, has decided to wow us with her colourful creations and take us right to the heart of Indonesia.
The designer decided to produce each of her pieces in this earthly paradise because of the ancestral Indonesian know-how, the respect for tradition and the quality of the skins.
As a result, Uma Naga offers authentic, sumptuous leather goods, made entirely by hand. You might think that prices would go through the roof because of this, but not at all. The price range for accessories made from exotic and precious skins is perfectly reasonable: clutches and small bags, for example, are in the region of €150, enough to treat yourself or to make lovely gifts.
The boutique, at 215 rue La Fayette in Paris, is a real theatrical space. It’s like being in an art gallery, with furniture and wallpaper that take you on a journey as much as the collection, which isn’t overshadowed by the crazy atmosphere of the place.
