This collaboration between La Poste and the young designer Jeffrey Duranville, inspired by the French company’s historical archives, was created during the Parisian Fashion Week Homme SS20. To create his models, the designer has drawn from the century-old codes anchored in our collective unconscious to propel them into everyday life. The coachman’s cape becomes an urban trench coat, the revisited officer’s jacket mixes with construction pants, the cart straps decorate a jean baggy or the total black fluid look as a tribute to the postmaster women who replaced men during the First World War. The sleek, resolutely contemporary cuts and attention to detail of this collection revisit the past to nourish the vision of a future made of kindness and simplicity.
