From 22 to 24 May 2026, the magnificent Château de Chantilly will host a new edition of the Chantilly Plant Days, a key event for all garden enthusiasts.
Set within an exceptional estate, voted France’s favourite monument in 2025, the event goes far beyond a traditional horticultural fair. It stands as a sensory and cultural experience where nature, knowledge and inspiration meet. Passionate gardeners, curious visitors and industry professionals gather to cultivate more than plants, shaping a deeper connection with the living world.
An exceptional event between heritage and passion
The uniqueness of the Chantilly Plant Days lies in its remarkable setting. Located within a historic estate of European significance, the event offers a rare immersion where history and nature coexist in harmony. Here, the garden becomes a universal language, accessible to all regardless of experience.
With nearly 200 exhibitors, including a large number of French and European nurseries, the event showcases an impressive botanical diversity. Flowering shrubs, spring perennials, fragrant roses and rare species are all part of the experience. Beyond purchasing plants, visitors engage with passionate growers who willingly share their expertise and advice. This human dimension strengthens the appeal of an event designed as a space for exchange and transmission.
Christian Louboutin an inspired patron rooted in nature
For the 2026 edition, the event is honoured to be under the patronage of Christian Louboutin. While globally recognised for his iconic red soled shoes, his connection to the plant world is both personal and deeply rooted.
Before becoming a leading figure in fashion, he devoted time to landscape design, revealing a genuine sensitivity to gardens. Now the owner of the renowned Kerdalo garden in Brittany, a true botanical gem, he embodies a poetic and refined vision of nature. His presence brings an artistic dimension to the event, and his expert eye will highlight the most remarkable discoveries among the exhibitors.
Learning discovering and reimagining the garden
The Chantilly Plant Days go beyond exhibition by inviting visitors to actively engage. A wide range of practical workshops allows participants to learn or refine essential gardening skills, from sowing to pruning. It is a tangible way to reconnect with nature through an accessible and educational approach.
The 2026 edition will also showcase the auricula primroses from Barnhaven, true botanical treasures known for their striking colours. Displayed in a traditional auricula theatre, these rare flowers reflect a fascinating horticultural heritage that blends science and aesthetics. Around the plants, an entire world unfolds including garden furniture, tools and decorative objects, offering inspiration to rethink outdoor spaces as true living environments.
Cultivating emotion and transmission
More than an event, the Chantilly Plant Days stand as a celebration of the living world in all its forms. Combining heritage, craftsmanship and creativity, they offer an inspiring escape where visitors can nurture their imagination and deepen their relationship with nature. In a time marked by the search for meaning and reconnection, this event reminds us that the garden is both a refuge, a space for expression and a legacy to be shared.
