On 9, 10 and 11 October, the Chantilly Plant Days return for their 22nd edition under the theme Symphonies végétales.
This year’s event celebrates the close relationship between music, landscape design and botanical heritage. Sponsored by the internationally renowned conductor William Christie, a leading figure in Baroque music and an accomplished garden creator, the event invites visitors to discover the plant world from a fresh perspective, where every bloom becomes part of a living composition.
An edition inspired by William Christie
Founder of Les Arts Florissants, William Christie is also a passionate gardener. Since settling in Thiré in the Vendée region in 1985, he has created a remarkable garden that has been awarded the prestigious Jardin remarquable label and is listed in the French Inventory of Historic Monuments. His artistic vision directly inspires this edition, encouraging exhibitors to create plant displays that reflect musical rhythms, colour harmonies and carefully balanced compositions.
Among the highlights, an exhibition will showcase four National Plant Collections dedicated to dahlias, alstroemerias, cannas and chusquea bamboos, species originating from Latin America that have had a lasting influence on European gardens. On Friday 9 October at 3 pm, the Conservatoire des Collections Végétales Spécialisées will also present several National Collection labels recognising outstanding collections of maples, camellias, magnolias and liquidambars.
A must visit event for garden enthusiasts
Bringing together almost 200 exhibitors, including more than 100 French and European nurseries, the Chantilly Plant Days appeal to passionate gardeners, families and curious visitors alike. Workshops, expert advice, family activities and walks through the historic park designed by Le Nôtre will fill the three day programme. Following the success of the spring 2026 edition, which welcomed 21,500 visitors, this autumn event promises another inspiring celebration where nature, creativity and music come together in perfect harmony.
