Stone Island’s textile research and experimentation joins Porter, the legendary Japanese brand of bags and accessories. Made Suede-TC, developed by STONE ISLAND, is a non-woven fabric composed of nylon microfibers and polyurethane resins, designed according to a complex industrial process that gives rise to a mattress of 22 ultra thin layers of microfibers thanks to a polyethylene component.
The material is then impregnated with resins and then coagulated. This method makes it possible to obtain an underlayer which is subjected to several washes resulting in the dissolution of the polyethylene component for a lighter final weight. A treatment is then performed to obtain the suede effect. The logo laser of the Stone Island Wind Rose is executed on the finished product.
