Shihara, a new bird at White Bird

Shihara, the creator of the SHIHARA jewellery brand, is a young man who is as talented as he is discreet. Born in Yamanashi, Japan, he studied jewellery making in Tokyo and went on to create and produce his own jewellery in 2008. Two years later, he launched his own fine jewellery brand: SHIHARA.

While requesting a return to the fundamental principle of Bauhaus: form = function, he approaches jewellery with grace, intelligence, modesty and moderation, conceptualising it by renewing its codes and instilling a hint of poetry.

At SHIHARA, we don’t hide functional elements; on the contrary, they play a simple and obvious part in the design. A necklace clasp or an earring fastener naturally extend and activate the shape of the jewellery, appearing for the sole benefit of its purity and delicacy.

The pure, airy lines of the SHIHARA collections naturally follow the body’s movements.
