Purple Ashes is the duo composed of the eclectic artist and singer Clémence de la Taille and her accomplice Syan. Their music sounds sometimes trip-hop, electro-pop without ignoring the rock, but always in the form of songs with powerful melodies. Between rock and electro, the alchemy of the duo is obvious as soon as you listen to the new single Get My Way.
With Clémence’s poetic, literary and intimate lyrics, sung mainly in English, finely chiseled and sophisticated without excess, Purple Ashes imposes its chiaroscuro singing, and its power of shadow and light. For this EP, Clémence and Syan collaborate with Stéphane Schott (LYYNK) as additional composer and arranger, who completes the electro turn of the project.
The first single, Get My Way is an ode to the inner journey, to resilience. It shows Clémence half immersed in a lake, taming the symbolic archetype of the triangle under a dense sky. This shape highlights the link between spirit and matter, the invisible and the visible. It is also the symbol of the woman.
The four titles are a look at a changing world, where dreamers no longer sleep, where light seeks its way, where the seasons pass, bitten by time, where the body crosses, experiences and reflects
Dreamers shakes and caresses, scratches the world of today and invites to travel in the era of this new century, and Purple Ashes leads us straight there.
