The undisputed leader in international deejaying, Pioneer DJ has teamed up with the iconic Off-White™ and its creator Virgil Abloh to develop a limited edition DJ-1000-OW controller and a ‘SOUND ENGINEERING’ capsule collection of T-shirts, hoodies, a jacket and accessories.

As with the transparent CDJs and DJMs I designed previously with Pioneer DJ, I wanted to take this opportunity to bring technology and human interaction together,” explains Virgil Abloh. “And this time we took it a step further with ‘SOUND ENGINEERING’, using this mode of expression, which unites so many of us, by adding a fashion element. Music and fashion, in my opinion, are intense forces that have the unique power to bring people together while allowing everyone to express themselves.

The Pioneer DJ c/o Off-White™ capsule collection consists of apparel (t-shirts, hoodies and a coach jacket) and accessories, including two fanny packs, featuring the ‘SOUND ENGINEERING’ logo. The designs, screen printed in fluorescent green ink, are inspired by the technical drawings and plans of the internal structure of the DJ controller. The collection is made of cotton canvas and the jacket also features a special treatment that gives it a more vintage and refined look.

The limited edition DDJ-1000-OW controller features an exclusive collaborative design: asymmetrical fluorescent orange and matte white colors, combined with the printed slogan, give this controller a unique look that combines optimal performance with excellent portability. The control layout is inspired by the CDJ-2000NXS2 and DJM-900NXS2 DJ controllers, which are widely regarded by professional DJs as the benchmark for clubbing.
