Carole Benazet, founder of Département Féminin, and her companion Frédéric Lagarrigue, have reinvented the PEPA boutique, located in Cadaqués, Spain. Now a reference in the world of fashion, it offers models by prestigious designers in a pleasant setting facing the sea.
The Mediterranean summer remains an essential reference in the imagination of Carole Benazet and Frédéric Lagarrigue. They have therefore chosen to set down their suitcases in the mythical village of Cadaqués to propose the hot spot of the summer of 2022.
It is thanks to this unique place and to the PEPA shop founded 47 years ago by three friends, that they will transmit the carefree spirit of the beach. Enclave in the heart of the sublime natural park of Cap de Creus, offering swimming and hiking, Cadaqués is a bewitching village, radiated by the universe of Salvador Dali.
“It was because we fell in love with this shop, which is located between the old walls of Cadaqués and the sea, that we decided to continue the adventure. We want to be part of its continuity and reinvent it, giving it the influence it deserves.”
Carole Benazet and Frédéric Lagarrigue have collected the decorative elements of the Serge Castella boutique. PEPA will regularly welcome guests who will come to present their new project such as Alice Roca, founder of “Alice in food”, followed by Elvira Voynarovska for “the healing project”, and the jewellery designer Nathalie Mathoulin.
“We are going to propose a new seaside offer by introducing for the first time here luxury houses such as Loewe, Céline and Jacquemus. Our frequent visits to the village have given us the opportunity to observe the local clientele and to think that this proposal could meet with a response.”
They will also extend this proposal to brands they want to wear such as Caravana, Sébline… as well as working on exclusive collaborations with Call it by your name and Linnealund.
