Y-3 has signed a new collection that combines organic and synthetics. The spring-summer 2024 season will be all about creative duality.
For over two decades, the collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto has given rise to a unique vision of sportswear. Y-3 never ceases to renew itself. For the spring/summer 2024 season, the brand unveils “Contra-Natural“, a world where organic meets synthetic. The result is striking! In this new exploration, the brand offers a range of clothing and footwear that harmoniously merge nature and fashion, for an aesthetic that is as daring as it is sophisticated.
A powerful collection
Say hello to bold cuts, expressive silhouettes and elaborate details. The brand doesn’t do things by halves! Here, the pieces are adorned with a digitally distorted floral graphic, created from scans of real flowers. The brand’s signature colours – black, white and grey – are back. They are joined by new shades: clay brown, mesa, ombré red and mint.
Classics on the agenda
The brand is also reinventing iconic adidas Originals products with Yohji Yamamoto’s distinctive touch. The Y-3 STAN SMITH and Y-3 COUNTRY are back in premium leather with piping detailing. The Y-3 GENDO is back in an even more progressive version. And let’s not forget the Y-3 KYASU and the brand-new KYASU SLIP-ON, whose outsole is combined with a primeknit upper for ultimate comfort.
An evocative video campaign
The launch of the brand’s spring-summer 2024 collection is accompanied by a captivating video campaign. It features London’s Bugeisha Club, a collective of Asian designers. Through the camera of Erika Kamano and the art direction of Francis Plummer & Robbie Spencer, this campaign celebrates fashion as it should be. We love it.
