After the live session “Grisaille”, a foretaste of his EP to come in June, Luz comes back with “Bougeotte”: a fresh and spring-like track accompanied by an immersive clip.
Written last spring during a period rich in travel, the text of Bougeotte came quite naturally to Luz on a train journey to Paris. Through this title, she expresses a paradoxical state between the lightness and abundance of the present moment and the desire to anchor herself in a calmer environment.
The clip is realistic and full of movement : the artist, camera in hand, films her daily life. The moments of joy with his friends, the comforting warmth of the sun offering its first rays and the omnipresent music. In the same way as the text with its unadorned narration, Luz wishes to offer a clip with a spontaneous and direct visual, whose bright colours accentuate the beauty of the spring season.
Lulled from an early age by an artistic universe as eclectic as it is classical (Buena Vista Social Club, Brel, Brassens), it is with rap and urban culture that Luz experiences her first stirrings.
Stricken by inner questions to which she could not find answers, she twice broke free from classical patterns to abandon herself completely to music in March 2020 and thus launch the conception of an EP to come in June 2022.
Luz is an author, composer and performer who tells the story of a young woman in her twenties, with sensitivity and sincerity, about her relationship with others and with herself. Eager to deliver her truth, she sings as she speaks, with a concern for the right word and for balance, between delicacy and benevolence.
