This year’s event, sponsored by Gucci, is one of the biggest of the year in Los Angeles, bringing together a hand-picked crowd of major art patrons and figures from the international scene.
The event, chaired since 2011 by Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio, honours leaders in art and film and may vary, depending on the exhibitions and projects currently on view at LACMA, and may highlight specific artists, movements or cultural initiatives. The gala usually includes an evening of cocktails, an auction of art objects or exclusive experiences, and a dinner or live performance.
