Considered a tool for meditation before works of art, artist Elliot Campbell’s work is a blend of mythology and abstract expressionism.
This emerging artist invites us to contemplate the connection between the human, the sacred and the invisible. For his first exhibition, artist Elliot Campbell immerses us in his artistic universe and his evolving techniques. We discover symbols from Greek mythology and are prompted to question our existence and our decision-making.
Who is Elliot Campbell?
Elliot Campbell is a deeply sensitive contemporary painter who draws inspiration from psychoanalysis and abstract expressionism to create his works.
His acrylic paintings are always poetic, dynamic and colourful, expressing and transcribing visions of reality while shaping and contrasting them.
His new series of paintings, BRIDGES, is an invitation to explore the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, the intimate and the sacred, affirming that painting is a ritual and metaphysical act.
Art is political, but above all, it is poetic
We are on an ark like Noah, drifting away, living in two dimensions, good and evil, but here it is between land and water. If we assume that our life is the result of our past actions, we ask ourselves: what have we done or what must we do?
This series of paintings, entitled DESRIVES, contrasts the quests for balance in life. It uses water as a metaphor and its boundaries to demonstrate our power or powerlessness in the face of the gentleness or unexpected storm of a space of emptiness and evaporated shores. A drift between anxiety and freedom, but above all a search for happiness to be attained.
