Clean tarnished silver jewelry and reduce fine scratches with Buhron, a system developed in the Netherlands over the course of five years.
Buhron is a new brand, launched just one month ago. Yet its product is the result of five years of development in the Netherlands. The goal was clear: to create a better solution for cleaning silver jewelry at home, while reducing the fine scratches that traditional products often leave behind.
Cleaning tarnished silver jewelry isn’t always enough
Silver naturally tarnishes over time. Cleaning baths, baking soda, and traditional cloths can remove this oxidation. The jewelry then looks cleaner, but its surface may remain dull. The reason is simple. Removing the black tarnish and restoring the metal’s shine are not the same thing. The small scratches accumulated over time remain visible and prevent light from reflecting properly. Buhron was developed to address both issues.
Five years of development
For five years, the formula and cloth were tested and refined on silver, gold, and stainless steel. Development did not stop once an initial version was working. Testing continued until Buhron achieved better results, in its own comparisons, than products available on the jewelry, silverware, and watch care markets. The final product is easy to use, but its development was not.
How to clean your silver jewelry with Buhron
The system works in two steps. The first cloth removes oxidation and reduces fine surface scratches. The second cloth polishes the surface and restores its shine. The process is done by hand, dry, without a machine, paste, or bowl.
Buhron is designed for fine signs of wear. It does not replace a jeweler for deep scratches. It can be used on silver, solid gold, copper, brass, bronze, and polished stainless steel. Plated or rhodium-plated surfaces require extra care.
Developed and manufactured in the Netherlands, Buhron is available starting at €15.90. A new brand, after five years dedicated to improving upon existing products.
