Black Manta, the great antagonist
Five years after the events of the first film, The Lost Kingdom takes us on a thrilling new storyline. Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) will be at the heart of the story and promises to be formidable. Obsessed by the desire to avenge his father, he now wields the fearsome Black Trident, a legendary weapon capable of destroying everything in its path. The hero will have to join forces with his brother Orm (Patrick Wilson), the imprisoned former king of Atlantis, to foil Black Manta’s plans and save his kingdom.

Will Amber Heard be back?
That’s the question on everyone’s lips: will the American actress reprise her role as Mera in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom? Amber Heard has been heavily criticised following her court case against Johnny Depp. Some fans signed a petition calling for her to be dropped from the film. Nevertheless, Amber Heard has been confirmed as a cast member. James Wan, the film’s director, remained vague on the subject, but he did say that The Lost Kingdom centres on Aquaman and his brother Orm (Patrick Wilson).
