Blending art and gastronomy in perfect harmony, L’Almanach Montmartre offers a dining experience that is as visually captivating as it is delicious, right in the heart of Rue Ramey.
In the picturesque district of Montmartre, a new bistronomic gem is turning heads and tantalising taste buds alike. L’Almanach Montmartre, nestled on Rue Ramey, has quickly established itself as a must-visit address in the 18th arrondissement. At the helm is Léo Giorgis, a passionate and daring chef with a refreshingly free-spirited approach to cooking. There’s no fixed menu here: instead, dishes evolve with the seasons, inspired by market finds and, most notably, by influences from around the world.
While the dishes impress with their flavours, the concept behind the venue is just as striking. L’Almanach Montmartre is more than a restaurant, it doubles as an art gallery. The idea? To host resident artists whose work is displayed for several months on the restaurant’s walls. Even better, each exhibition inspires the culinary creations. The result? A multisensory journey where every visit is an experience for the eyes, nose, and palate.

Flavourful dishes that delight
On the day of our visit, the menu was brimming with creativity. We began with hake tacos, brought to life with a mango salsa and ultra-fresh avocado, a vibrant, tropical dish that still manages to keep one foot in classic French tradition. A real highlight? The spinach and ricotta gnocchi, generously coated in a parmesan emulsion and served with rocket pesto, crunchy peas, and seasonal vegetables. Colourful, comforting, vegetarian, and hearty — it ticks all the boxes of a well-crafted feel-good dish.
When it comes to desserts, L’Almanach Montmartre keeps the standard high. The dark chocolate mousse, infused with olive oil and topped with fleur de sel, is a decadent delight. Equally impressive is the verbena-infused panna cotta, served with a tangy rhubarb compote and a crispy crumble, a masterful play of textures and flavours. It’s light, refreshing, and a truly original end to the meal.
As for the prices, they’re very reasonable. Starters range from €10 to €14, while mains are priced between €26 and €32. Desserts cater to every budget, with the most expensive at just €12. There’s also a weekday lunch menu with two options: one at €22 and the other at €26.
A vibrant space where art meets community
The service is warm and the atmosphere relaxed, a true reflection of the neighbourhood. Sunlight floods the space, enhanced by the artwork on the walls, while the terrace offers a peaceful urban retreat. Far more than a simple dining spot, L’Almanach Montmartre is a living, breathing venue — a space for encounters, expression, and sensory exploration. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again, just to see (and taste) what’s new.
