Electrostimulation has become an essential trend for those looking to optimize their sports sessions.
Promising fast results with short sessions, this technology intrigues as much as it questions. We’ve tested two popular brands, Bodyhit and Zenstim, and our preference is for Bodyhit’s technology. Here’s our feedback!
What is electrostimulation ?
Electrostimulation involves sending electrical impulses to the muscles via electrodes placed on the body. These impulses reproduce the natural muscle contraction process, but in an amplified form. The aim is to stimulate muscle fibers in depth, including those little used by traditional training.
This technique is particularly popular with top-level athletes, but has been democratized in recent years thanks to brands such as Bodyhit and Zenstim, which offer sessions accessible to all.
Our experience at Bodyhit and Zenstim
We tried out several sessions at these two brands, and here’s what we thought:
At Bodyhit, sessions are fast-paced, dynamic and supervised by qualified coaches. Subscriptions start at €29.90 per session, with monthly and annual packages available. Exercises are personalized, and electrode combinations offer a well-balanced intensity. Bodyhit’s EMS (Electro Myo Stimulation) technology enables several muscle groups to be worked simultaneously. Our experience has been one of in-depth work and rapid visible results on muscle tone.
With Zenstim, the technology is effective, but we found the experience less immersive. Prices start at €25 per session, with advantageous packages for several sessions. Follow-up is more generic, and the intensity of sessions seemed less well adapted than with Bodyhit. Support is present, but less personalized, which can be a hindrance for those seeking a tailor-made approach.
Benefits and limits of electrostimulation
Benefits :
- Saves time: 20 minutes of electrostimulation is equivalent to around 4 hours of traditional muscle training.
- In-depth muscular work, ideal for toning and reducing body fat.
- Reduced impact on joints, making it an interesting alternative for people with joint problems.
Limits :
- It’s not a miracle solution: without a suitable diet and regular physical activity, results will be limited.
- Intense aches and pains may occur after the first few sessions.
- It is essential to choose a center with good supervision to avoid the risks associated with misuse of the technology.
Are you ready to join this sporty experience ?
After our test, our clear preference is for Bodyhit. Their personalized approach, the quality of their coaching and the effectiveness of their technology make them an ideal option for those wishing to optimize their sports sessions.
Electrostimulation is an excellent complement to a classic sports routine, but it’s no substitute for a healthy lifestyle. If you’re looking to try out this method, we strongly advise you to opt for a quality brand, with follow-up tailored to your needs!
