Fatoumata Guirassy is the designer of the brand Gueras Fatim launched on year ago, as the same time as being an embroiderer and seamstress for prestigious fashion houses like Givenchy, Alexis Mabille, or Chloe.
Today, she reveals her second collection Tilocoto “under the sun”, that invite us to a world tour. She went to Japan, on the Jamaican isle, and on the valleys of Masaï people of Ethiopia. She belong under the sunlight.
Straight from her gold bath, she struts in an approach impeded by heat. In those clothes of a raw elegance, remain a balance between the nineties and the boudoir spirit. She wears the kimono as well as silk pyjamas and the revisited loincloth.
Her main inspirations are multicultural traditions, vintage, minimalist shapes, with a twist of streetwear. The simple cuts are very studied in terms of techniques and finitions. The Gueras Fatim woman as multiple facets and assume an elegant and nonchalant look.
