We caught up with the talented Maya at her private concert last month. In 2013, Maya Kamaty was the first female winner of the Alain Peters Prize and the Indian Ocean Music Prize. In October, she unveiled her first album, “Santié Papang”, in which Creole meets French (with two tracks written by Mauritian poet Michel Ducasse).
