“Santié Papang” Maya Kamaty’s first album

In Maya Kamaty’s melodies, the percussion of her island, we hear the nostalgic swaying of memories in which we would like to immerse ourselves.

We caught up with the talented Maya at her private concert last month. In 2013, Maya Kamaty was the first female winner of the Alain Peters Prize and the Indian Ocean Music Prize. In October, she unveiled her first album, “Santié Papang”, in which Creole meets French (with two tracks written by Mauritian poet Michel Ducasse).

A virtuoso and delicate weaving of dreamy or danceable ballads, “Santié Papang” opens a window to the imagination.
