The famous nail varnish brand is setting up shop in Paris to celebrate its 45th anniversary, a tribute to the beauty of our nails.
OPI is an American nail varnish brand, founded in 1981 in Los Angeles, which has become a global benchmark thanks to its bold colours, professional formulas and, above all, its narrative shade names that have left their mark on pop culture.
OPI’s 45th anniversary in Paris
To mark 45 years of creativity and innovation, the brand is highlighting its pioneering role in modern manicure. That is to say, the art of transforming colour into an emotional language, turning nails into a canvas for personal expression, and creating shades that have become cult favourites such as Big Apple Red, Bubble Bath and Lincoln Park After Dark. In France, OPI holds a strong premium position in the imported cosmetics market, driven by the appeal of American brands and the momentum of Franco-American trade, where cosmetics are among the growth sectors in bilateral exports and imports.

OPI’s immersive pop-up
To mark this anniversary, the brand had opened a pop-up event at 1 Rue Française, Paris 1st arrondissement, designed as an immersive journey through colour. It featured manicures carried out on site and a hand spa, with iconic shades showcased as symbols of OPI’s identity. This pop-up space was designed as a meeting point between the brand and its community, bringing together nail art enthusiasts and colour lovers. The aim was to recreate the everyday experience of Beverly Hills fashionistas at trade shows.
