It’s been another eventful week for fashion, beauty and cinema. Highlights included the renewal of Nicolas Ghesquière’s contract at Louis Vuitton, the launch of singer Harry Styles’ perfume collection and the cinema release of the Hunger Games prequel.
Nicolas Ghesquière renewed for 5 years at Louis Vuitton
Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the women’s collections at Louis Vuitton for the last ten years, has announced some excellent news. His contract has been renewed for a further five years. “It is a great honour to continue to write the history of Louis Vuitton. We opened the first chapter ten years ago to define a new identity based on an incredible heritage and a constant focus on innovation,” he said, adding: “I have been able to draw on the talent of the teams and the expertise of the House to develop new codes. I am very grateful for the trust and support of Bernard Arnault and Pietro Beccari in this incredible journey”.

Harry Styles unveils his first fragrance collection
British singer Harry Styles has added a new line to his CV with the launch of his first fragrance collection this month. Following the success of his unisex cosmetics brand Pleasing, the 29-year-old is now revealing a new facet of his creativity.

The Hunger Games prequel is out in cinemas
Hunger Games fans have been on cloud nine since the prequel, The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird, was released on 15 November. The film, directed by Francis Lawrence, explores the origins of the Hunger Games and requests a look back at the youth of the fearsome President Coriolanus Snow.
