Hi everyone, my name’s Agnécy (not a very common first name, I’ll give you that!), I’m a BTS Communication student and for this final year, I’ve been looking for THE internship that would give me the certainty that I’m meant to be in communications. So today I’m going to tell you all about my internship at Kodd Magazine. Did I have to write this article? No, because once you’re part of #TeamKodd, all you want to do is share your experience!
What I discovered
I’ve discovered a totally different world to those I’ve come across on my previous placements, and I can honestly say that Kodd Magazine is the ideal place to discover, progress and mature.
What I did
Every time I arrived at the office, I left my intern status at the door and became a member of the team, which rhymes with responsibility. As a start-up, you can expect to be asked to be autonomous and versatile, while retaining that warm, good-natured atmosphere. I was totally unfamiliar with the world of web magazines, and from my very first day I had to get used to WordPress, to posting articles and receiving a steady stream of e-mails. It can seem very frightening at first, but you just need the right people to get the hang of it. I did this work placement with a view to turning it into a final year project, and I came out of it feeling very confident and confident!
What I learnt
In my opinion, it’s all about teamwork. If you don’t know how to communicate and don’t want to make an effort in this area (yes, it’s a flaw), don’t venture into a start-up! Because yes, communication is the key word. Secondly, I’d say that I’ve learnt to have more confidence in myself and to impose my voice. Reserved and ‘fake shy’, it sometimes takes me a while to loosen up, but within the first week, all that facade was gone. So, thank you Kodd!
My best memory
The laughter! If you don’t have a sense of humour, don’t bother! No, in all seriousness, I don’t have a single best memory because my whole placement was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
I’d simply like to thank KODD for trusting me and helping me to find my way.
