We all know that winter and cold weather damage and weaken our skin. We have put together 3 homemade skin care recipes to moisturise your skin in the cold weather.
The importance of making masks
Whether you buy them in a supermarket or make them yourself, it is very important to make masks to moisturise your skin, especially when it is cold. By giving your skin the moisture it needs, you fill in its deficiencies and strengthen its natural defences. The best thing is to make your own mask, it’s more economical and ecological, you know what you’re applying to your skin and that changes everything.
The soothing mask with olive oil and honey
This recipe combines hydration thanks to honey and anti-oxidants thanks to olive oil. This treatment will make your skin soft and supple again. You will need olive oil, honey and a container to mix them in.
Put a tablespoon of each in the container and mix. Apply a thick layer to your skin and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and your skin will be soft and soothed !
The nourishing banana and avocado mask
It almost makes you want to eat it ! Ideal to help your dry skin. You’ll need an avocado and a ripe banana as well as honey. In a bowl, mash the avocado and banana until smooth.
Add a tablespoon of honey and mix. Apply to your face and leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water. Your skin is clear and shiny !
A mask for oily skin
If your skin is acne-prone and oily, it is essential to moisturise it, but with the right care. Because when your skin is dry, it will produce sebum to make up for the lack of moisture and this will cause more acne.
In a bowl, mix 1 egg white with half a teaspoon of lemon juice, preferably organic. When the texture is firm, apply to your face for 5 minutes and rinse with clear, cold water. Your skin will be moisturised but not greasy !
We can only advise you to make your own beauty products. Of course, you can’t keep them, but you know what’s in them and they are natural ingredients that are good for your skin !
