FARM Rio, Brazil’s most popular fashion and lifestyle brand, meets Europe like never before, thanks to a unique invitation from the prestigious Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche.
For the first time, the brand will occupy a 260m2 space on the first floor of the Paris gallery to give the summer camp theme its own life and interpretation.
The story of FARM Rio began in 1997 at a market in Rio de Janeiro, when founders Kátia Barros and Marcello Bastos presented a collection of colourful clothing that captured the vibrant spirit of the city’s lifestyle.
More than 20 years have passed, transforming the brand into what it is today : a group of creatives who believe in the existence of happiness, beauty and joy in all the colours and shapes that nature brings to the eyes and feelings, making customers from all over the world adopt the Carioca lifestyle.
As nature lovers, FARM Rio uses fashion as a platform to create a caring relationship with nature, committed to keeping the local culture alive and inspiring positive transformations.
“Nature has always been our home and we are passionate about taking concrete steps to ensure that it continues to inspire new generations with its beauty and diversity,” says creative director and co-founder Kátia Barros.
One of the brand’s most important initiatives is its partnership with the One Tree Planted organisation to help restore the Amazon, the world’s largest rainforest, and the Atlantic Forest.
This project ensures that for every purchase made on their website, in their shops and other authorised retailers, a tree is planted in Brazil’s threatened forests. Over 500,000 trees have been planted to date.
Until 17 June, FARM Rio and Le Bon Marche are exhibiting a gallery-like experience shop, inspired by the richness of Amazonian biodiversity, and curated by a unique group of Brazilian artists and collectives.
Each artist and artwork in the gallery is selected and created in Brazil, celebrating local and popular culture in a manifestation of the most beautiful and authentic.
For the shopping experience, the brand will launch its spring and summer 22 collections, home goods, in addition to its new line of vegan shoes and a variety of products that reflect what it means to be a nature lover and dress for happiness.
The partnership between FARM Rio and Le Bon Marché is an invitation to a true nature-inspired movement to empower more diverse, inclusive and ethical fashion.
