Choosing quality furniture for a hotel depends on several factors. Indeed, the aspects to be taken into account depend in particular on the needs of the establishment but also on the know-how of the craftsman or the company which will create this furniture.
“Quality furniture is important” Kodd Magazine
Hotel furniture is one of the most important decisions to be made when opening a hotel or when renovating a hotel or part of it. Although it defines the style and category of the hotel in the eyes of its guests, the quality offered by the craft company is also important.

What the hotel wants most for its guests is to offer a location that matches its clientele, premium customer service, price and food and beverage service. All of these aspects are important, but the quality and design of the hotel’s furnishings are essential aspects that allow the hotel to offer a unique experience that is differentiated from other establishments.
Furniture means space and therefore decoration !
Depending on the characteristics of a hotel, its size, the style of decoration and the type of clientele, the establishment may choose one type of furniture or another to differentiate itself from the competition.
Functional and practical furniture is another very important aspect that hotels will look for. The aim is not only to have furniture that fulfils a decorative function, but also furniture that is functional in everyday life and makes their guests’ lives more comfortable.
Quality is one of the factors to remember. It is an investment that every establishment wants to make. Priority will be given to top quality materials that are resistant to the different external and internal agents, that last over time and that the client can perceive as being of a quality associated with their brand image.

Interior design and furniture are one thing
It is good to have a pleasant entrance, but it is better to offer your guests a place to live that corresponds to their needs. Once the public area of a hotel has been designed, the rooms should not be neglected. There are many ways to furnish a room. The variety, type of furnishings and equipment available have a direct impact on the price and management of a hotel.
Some basic elements for a standard room :
- Individual heating (if there is no central heating)
- Lights (main table lamp + / bedside lamp)
- Bed with sheets, blankets or quilts
- Two single chairs
- Table or desk
- Wardrobe with hangers
- Waste bin
- Mirror
- Sunlight and fade resistant curtains
- Flooring/carpeting in muted colours
- Toilet/bathroom
All the furniture in a room should be functional and in harmony with each other. And of course, this will also depend on the rooms. The furniture in hotel rooms should invite the guest to rest and disconnect. However, in the reception and other common areas, the furniture should be an “antiroom” to the rest of the rooms and an invitation to visit the rest of the hotel.
With the boom in property purchases/rentals, many individuals are also choosing to use artisanal companies to offer quality furniture to their clients.
Whether you’re renting out your flat, bedroom or a studio in your property, choose the furniture that best suits your guests !
