Playing the role of “Frenchie” in the Emmy-nominated anti-superhero phenomenon “The Boys”, Tomer Capone impressively marks his debut in an American series.
Tomer Capone is leading the invasion of talent and productions from Israel, where he currently resides when he is not filming in the US.
After graduating from high school, Capone joined the Israel Defense Forces where he served as a battalion combat soldier and later as a squad commander in their paratrooper brigade.
At the age of 26, he decided to attend the Yoram Loewenstein Performing Arts Studio for a year. Afterwards, he quickly accumulated an impressive list of credits, including in popular Israeli series such as “Hostages” and the most recent “ONE ON ONE”.
In terms of feature films, it was in 2015 that he made his debut in the lead role in the film “A Tale of Love and Darkness”, directed by Natalie Portman. In 2016, he was awarded a Best Supporting Actor Film Ophir for the drama “One Week and a Day”.
His meteoric rise continued in the series “When Heroes Fly” where he played a veteran of a special forces unit, reuniting three friends for one last mission in the Colombian jungle. The series won the Best Series Award at the Cannes Series Festival in 2018.
This year, he stars alongside Lawrence Fishburne and Casey Affleck in the upcoming sci-fi thriller “Slingshot”.
