Alphonse Maitrepierre and Emmanuelle Khanh sign a capsule of couture eyewear « the comb »
Eva Gaumé, Emmanuelle Khanh’s Artistic Director, and designer Alphonse Maitrepierre have created an artistic and friendly partnership that has paid off in couture. Three sunglasses frames. The common point is given by a great desire for creative freedom. The study of the comb as an intimate toilet item meets the avant-garde spirit of both brands, affirming their joyful identity.
The models are hybrid, couture and portable. It is a reinterpretation of a rectangular model xxl, the EX9010, very 80s with handles in the form of comb.
The choice of tortoiseshell was made to better recall the affinities of the two objects. This material is in fact widely used for the production of glasses as well as for the creation of good quality combs. Those that can be found on the dressing table of those who pay particular attention to the choice of objects that come into contact with their intimacy.
This limited edition is entirely made in France, in Oyonnax, the historic birthplace of cellulose acetate eyewear, an organic material obtained by plasticizing cotton flakes and wood cellulose.
The capsule will be distributed from May and exclusively at Marc Le Bihan, ek.fr and maitrepierre.re.
