Suspence and mystery in the Francesca Liberatore fashion show. In the essential scenario of a prose theater, the unsolved mystery of a dark, narrated event unfolds from a voiceover. Protagonist: a model.
Her heart highlighted in the first dress of the show, with its tangles of vases unfolding on a dark red dress and the model’s wide eyes to represent the scene of a hypothetical murder. Following, dresses that recall the mystery, underlined by the large question marks on the back of the coats, overlooked by masks in their disquieting fixity.
The stylist’s choice to give the models the connotation of the double is striking. Her hair knotted to form a scarf under her chin and then gathered on the nape of her neck to give the effect of another face, of other features that can be glimpsed under the masks. More than one dress presents this duplicity, playing on the opposite optical effects, on the overlapping of different fabrics and shapes as well as shoes, rigorously two-tone ankle boots. The colors chosen for the clothes range from blacks to reds to purples.
The accessories, few but important, provocatively allude to the event being represented.
