The global UGG® brand has always been a brand that stirs emotions because of the way it makes you feel.
André Leon Talley, legendary fashion journalist, best-selling author and long-time supporter of the UGG® brand, is the star of the next chapter of FEEL ____., an ongoing series featuring iconic personalities who tell inspiring stories about their lives, their work and what fuels their creativity. “UGG is a comforting dish for my feet,” said André Leon Talley. “It’s smart. It’s comfortable and it’s full of style.”
André Leon Talley was fashion director of Vogue from 1983 to 1987, then its first black creative director from 1988 to 1995. In May 2020, he published his second dissertation entitled “The Chiffon Trenches”: an account of his humble beginnings and influential career in fashion, set against a backdrop of experiences of racism, prejudice and bias. An iconic fashion designer, Talley represents a spirit, sensibility, intellect and attitude that never goes out of fashion.
The UGG® brand Spring/Summer 2021 campaign, which takes place on the front porch of his home in White Plains, New York, features André Leon Talley candidly sharing stories and memories of his Southern upbringing and his distinguished career in the fashion and publishing industry.
Seen over the years from the front row of every Fashion Weeks around the world wearing UGG® boots, the brand’s latest campaign features Talley in inherited styles such as the Neumel and Tasman slipper – personifying the feeling and emotional connection that only UGG® can offer.
Feel is an integral part of the UGG® brand DNA and what it offers. Since the start of the Autumn/Winter 2020 season at the Hammer Museum’s Made in L.A. biennial, FEEL. has been the unifying theme with a variety of stories. Find out more about FEEL. ____. with André Leon Talley please visit UGG®.
