In honor of Earth Day, Southern California-based international lifestyle brand UGG is proud to prove its ongoing commitment to researching and using better materials for a better future.
It is introducing its second carbon-neutral Icon-Impact collection for Spring/Summer 2022, as well as a new Classic style, the first ever, with sheepskin from regenerative agriculture farms in Fall 2022.
Designed with the environment in mind, the Icon-Impact collection features three designs that reinvent the iconic UGG® aesthetic and feel. The Fluff Yeah Terry, Fuzz Sugar Terry Slide and Fuzz Sugar Terry Cross Slide are made from low environmental impact materials with offsets purchased based on the number of low carbon emissions they release – making the materials neutral.
This new version of the fan-favorite UGG® models features a blend of Responsible Wool Standard certified wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell from responsibly harvested trees. Adding SugarSole™ outsoles made from renewable sugarcane, you get all the lightweight appeal you’d expect from UGG® in three standout sandals that help the wearer feel good in more ways than one.
The brand’s latest FEEL GOOD initiative, the Icon-Impact collection – available now at UGG.com, UGG® stores and select retailers nationwide – is just one way the brand is making strides for the planet.
To maximize the brand’s positive impact, UGG® will once again partner with One Tree Planted to plant trees around the world – 3,950 in the northwestern U.S. and 10,000 in England – which will absorb six million pounds of carbon dioxide or more over the next two decades.

UGG® is on its way to a greener future, and materials are key to reducing its environmental impact. The brand strives to incorporate innovative and sustainable materials throughout its product line, using capsule collections to highlight these changes, and seeking better alternatives for conventionally used materials.
For example, the brand’s SugarSole™ foam is made with ethylene derived from renewable sugarcane, providing the same tactile experience as EVA foam without relying on fossil fuel ethylene.
This Earth Day, the global theme is “Investing in our Planet.” The UGG® brand is committed to finding solutions that benefit the environment and reduce the impact on the Earth’s resources. The brand is proud to share its progress and showcase its new pieces including the Classic Mini Regenerate, made of double-sided sheepskin from farms practicing regenerative agriculture, the Classic Mini Regenerate will be available in all sizes, for all ages, and will debut in fall 2022.
