The Amsterdam-based lifestyle and fashion brand is launching a capsule collection for summer 2022. The collection features items for women, men and children. Inspired by the Scotch & Soda Summer 2022 collection, it echoes the brand’s unstoppable optimism by offering a world of well-being and summer cheer.
Supporting the power of self-expression through art and positivity, Macias’ bright prints and patterns depict desert landscapes, colourful cacti and vibrant sunsets, while his mantra “The sun comes up” adorns the cheerful t-shirts.
He comments on the collaboration : “When they offered it to me, I felt that they could capture the spirit of my art and turn it into a collection that would be joyful with a message of rebirth and optimism, especially in relation to the times we live in.”
The women’s must-have items in the collection include a selection of organic cotton designs, such as a belted beach caftan, a mid-length wrap skirt, a Hawaiian shirt and a bandana scarf.
Each piece is dressed in an all-over print depicting the artist’s favourite landscapes. The casual items in the collection include graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts and a hoodie in both bright and gradient colours.
Los Angeles-based Abel Macias has also collaborated with Scotch & Soda on the creation of dedicated window displays showcasing the capsule collection.
