Runway Vision is a unique fashion show showcasing Brazilian designers. The independent platform has become part of the parallel calendar of Paris Fashion Week, offering international visibility to emerging brands.
Runway Vision is much more than just a fashion show; above all, it is a vibrant encounter between cultures, talents and creative visions. This event celebrates the alliance between the international avant-garde and the unique energy of Brazilian designers.
Latin fashion on the Paris calendar
On the catwalk, bold and inspiring collections embody innovation, diversity and cultural richness. This show highlights the plurality of Brazilian identities, such as Afro culture and indigenous peoples. Runway Vision Paris, becomes the stage for a global artistic dialogue, where each silhouette is political and tells a story in which fashion becomes a universal language.
Among the names featured on this season’s Runway Vision show list are Brazilian brands Nalimo (by Day Molina), Zack Grabeel, Marcelo Zantti, Basique (by Gisèle Dias), Fabiana Thorres, Gissa Bicalho and Al Mare. They have also selected Bosnian designer Lidija Kolovrat, now based in Portugal, and Albanian designer Sarita Gjini.
Spotlight on all Brazilian ethnic groups and the Amazon
The visibility of Brazilian indigenous peoples in the fashion world is still limited, but growing. Their presence is most evident in events related to indigenous culture or identity, rather than in major international fashion shows (in Paris, Milan, etc.). There are indigenous designers and models who are gaining recognition, but often in specific contexts, with issues of representation, ethics and narrative power. Indigenous Brazilian designers and indigenous communities often remain outside the most visible circuits (official settings, haute couture, etc.). Day Molina is a designer and activist of indigenous origin, descended from the Aymara and Fulni-ô peoples. Her brand, Nalimo, seeks to fuse ancestral identity, contemporary aesthetics and socio-environmental commitment. The collection is not limited to aesthetics, as it is positioned as a political and cultural manifesto for the memory of forgotten peoples and the Amazon rainforest.
Marcelo Zantti, Kodd’s favourite designer to watch
Marcelo Zantti presents the collection entre a flor e o abismo (between the flower and the abyss), inspired by Ophelia in Hamlet, a metaphor for delicacy and vertigo. The fabrics reflect this duality, while the colour palette of red, blue, off-white and black accentuates the drama. The artist who never ceases to reinvent fashion and transform dresses into works of feminine identity.
We show how the Marcelo Zantti workshop is establishing itself as a benchmark in authentic fashion, luxury tailoring and emotional design, creating bespoke dresses that express not only beauty, but personal stories of empowerment, sophistication and exclusivity.
There is a stronger demand for ethical, sustainable fashion, which opens the door to indigenous designers who use natural materials or traditional techniques. Fashion platforms and media are increasingly interested in diversity of identity, which allows these designers to gain international visibility. Runway Vision therefore offers an exceptional platform for emerging and established talents from Brazil and elsewhere to make their mark at Paris Fashion Week, which is considered the most prestigious, but also one of the most difficult to access.
