On 24 July 2014 in Paris, MICKADEK saw his destiny transformed by going from the canvas to the real thing. After more than a year of discreet preparation, RAMZI ADEK managed to bring to life the one he has considered “his buddy” since the beginning. 3D design, manufacturing, hand sanding, painting… it is to say that the artist and the other small hands of the shade did not count their hours to obtain this meter forty of resin, these impeccable finishes and this final representation perfectly faithful to the imaginary of the departure.

Enter the urban world of Ramzi Adek

The artistʼs alter ego, Mickey Mouse, is a recurring figure in RAMZI ADEKʼs universe. By opening the floodgates of fantasy, RAMZI ADEK pushes us towards a meditation on our condition. Her reassuring curves, her large ears and her unalterable grin reveal flaws, vices and torments: she becomes an allegory of the human condition grappling with the shortcomings of her time. A pop icon par excellence, MICKADEK crosses the canvases with her good-natured silhouette, sometimes stretching the possibilities of this metaphorical figure to the borders of abstraction.
