A free scene

An open stage is the equivalent of an open stage. To perform there, simply register with the organizer to perform your humorous, musical, or poetic performance. These spaces are intended for both amateurs and professionals.

Open stages are usually availables in cafes, pubs, nightclubs, strip clubs or comedy clubs. They offer beginners the opportunity to confront an audience and to professionals to evaluate the popularity of their latest works. 

Comedians perform on the open stage to tell stories of everyday or fictional life. They interact with the audience and break the fourth wall by taking the audience to witness the stories that happened to them. In general, artists play standing up, hence the term stand-up.

The open stage can reveal to the world real geniuses of rhetoric. One of the best known at the beginning of the 21st century is Steve Jobs. Indeed, the founder of the Apple brand, who died in October 2011, distinguished himself during his conferences thanks to charismatic leadership on the open stage.

He uses perfectly the rhetorical process of Aristotle, composed of three registers: pathos, logos and ethos. Steve Jobs was a master storyteller. He told the world of his brand with humor, in order to create a real emotional connection with the faithful consumers of the eaten apple.

Rappers are trying very hard to break down the sexist and patriarchal prejudices that have been installed for far too long in the world of rap. La Giu, Pearly or Just Shani, all express themselves through uninhibited and feminist texts. 

Rap is undeniably a major form of artistic expression within the generation Z. Hip-hop open mics allow rap artists to face the audience directly.

Performing on stage in the face of public judgment can be a unique experience to connect to the new audience and gain self-confidence.
